Our school was founded in 1987, in Greifensee, by Robert Burgermeister. At the end of 2000, he decided to expatriate to the USA. He had the choice to either close the school or to find a successor. He found two of his students, Alex Neidhart and Peter Zwick, who were willing to take over the school from 1st January 2001. In January 2002, Roland Surber joined as third partner of the school. Due to business commitments, Peter Zwick had to step back from his duties from 31st December 2002. In June 2008, Roland Surber also resigned his duties. Since that time, Alex Neidhart and Santo Giuga have run the school of ca. 70 students and their Sempai.   Further milestones: • 1989 Dojo in Uster founded • 1991 Dojo in Dübendorf founded • 1992 Joined the “Schweizerischer Shito Karate Verband” as charter member, a sub-section of the Swiss Karate Federation (SKF) • 1993 The school and the whole sub-section SSKV was accepted in the SKF Section SK-UEK • 1995 SSKV course organized with Sensei Tomiyama in Dübendorf • 1995 Our school was admitted to the Seishinkai world association (under the lead of Soke Kunio Tatsuno) • 1996 SSKV course with Sensei Mitsuya in Uster organized • 1996 Travelled with a Swiss tam to the WKPF tournament in Osaka (Japan) • 1996 Course with Soke Kenei Mabuni in Volketswil organized for SSKV • 1997 Seishinkai course with Soke Tatsuno in Uster organized • 1998 Organization of a Swiss WKPF tournament in Greifensee for SSKV • 1999 Seishinkai course with Soke Harada in Uster organized • 2004 Participation with some students in an international Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) course in Virginia (USA) • 2005 Participation in an international DNBK course in Sintra (Portugal) • 2006 Participation in an international DNBK course in Brussels (Belgium) • 2006 Course with Shihan Leonard Jordan in Dübendorf organized • 2007 Celebration of 20th anniversary of the Karate school • 2007 Start with “Karate in the morning for women” • 2008 Participation with 11 students and their families in an international Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) course in Kyoto (Japan) and participation in a Karate course in Osaka (Japan) • 2009 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Meitingen (Germany), hosted by “Verband asiatischer Kampfkünste” (VaK) • 2010 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Breitenbrunn (Germany), hosted by “Verband asiatischer Kampfkünste” (VaK) • 2010 Participation in an international Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) advanced training in Kyoto (Japan) • 2011 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Achern (Germany), hosted by “Verband asiatischer Kampfkünste” (VaK) and Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) • 2011 Celebration of the 20th anniversary of Swiss Seishinkai Karate-Do • 2011 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Penzberg (Germany), hosted by “Verband asiatischer Kampfkünste” (VaK) and Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) • 2011 Seishinkai organize the first Swiss VaK Budo Event in Dübendorf • 2012 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Vesoul (France), hosted by Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) • 2012 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Uerdingen (Germany), hosted by “Verband asiatischer Kampfkünste” (VaK) • 2012 Participation in an international Martial Arts course in Penzberg (Germany), hosted by “Verband asiatischer Kampfkünste” (VaK) and Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) • 2012 withdrawal as per end of the year from the Swiss Karate Federation due to political quarrels.
